In this course, you will explore a range of big life events that commonly impact children, along with their families and communities, in the early years. You’ll seek to contextualise these impacts and identify useful early childhood practices and strategies.

In this course, you will:

• understand common big life events that directly impact young children in Australia
• recognise the impacts of big life events on children and their families and communities
• identify contextually relevant strategies to support children and their families and communities through the impacts of big life events.
