About this course

This course identifies key concepts that focus first on building your understanding of the purpose of management in the complex education and care system, its functions, aspects and relationship with the National Quality Framework. You will then learn about more recent approaches to management and how these align with current views and expectations of our national education and care system.

By completing this course, participants will be able to apply the following learning outcomes:

  • explain the purpose of management
  • recognise an education and care service as a business in a complex sector
  • identify key functions and systems of management
  • recognise management concepts in the education and care context
  • understand more recent approaches to managing organisations.
