This course explains the importance and effects of change, and how to facilitate it through effective decision-making. It also covers various functional processes, policies and procedures necessary for supporting evolving systems in education and care services.

By completing this course, participants will be able to apply the following learning outcomes:

• Explore the importance of priorities and time management in decision-making and change management.
• Draw on a variety of change management tools to support systems within the education and care service.
• Identify where authority for decisions is delegated in the service and the elements of consensus decision-making.
• Review how change can be embedded in organisational systems.
• Evaluate the current decision-making process in the service using the seven-step rational approach.
