This course provides an overview of the governance structures and processes in education and care settings, while also examining the roles and responsibilities of individuals in formal management positions.

By completing this course, participants will be able to apply the following learning outcomes:

• describe the legal structures of for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
• explain the governance process and the design of management structures.
• identify the roles and responsibilities of governing bodies and their influence on managers.
• describe the role of managers in education and care settings.
• explain the role and responsibilities of Approved Providers.
