About this course

This two-part series that explores the importance of thorough and contextual business risk management as well as risk assessment and contingency planning. 

By completing this course, participants will be able to apply the following learning outcomes:

  • position risk in the context of organisational objectives.
  • consider the risk management structure in your own setting using the ISO risk management principles, framework and process.
  • recall the risk assessment process of identification, analysis and evaluation
  • consider the contingency plans relevant to the organisation.


Part 2 explores the importance of thorough, contextual business risk management. It highlights risk management, managerial roles in risk assessment, assessing human risks, and workplace safety's impact on education and care businesses.

By completing this course, participants will be able to apply the following learning outcomes:

  • consider the personnel with responsibility for managing risk in education and care services
