Course information

This course is about curriculum and planning with very young children in early childhood education settings. It starts by unpacking infant pedagogy as a way to think about curriculum and planning in holistic, purposeful and sophisticated ways with babies and toddlers. The course will invite you to critically reflect on how our image of societies’ youngest citizens shapes our actions and interactions with them. The course will also invite you to think about care in all parts of curriculum and planning with babies and toddlers and to extend thinking beyond the usual ‘care routines’ of feeding, sleeping and toileting.
